What iSupportVeterans Funds

About: Through a crowd funding effort from grateful Americans, the iSupportVeterans.org (ISV) emergency financial assistance program offers financial assistance to all era military and Veteran families who are experiencing an unexpected short-term financial setback.

Quick Facts: The grant amount cannot exceed the equivalent of 60 days of delinquent payment for a specific circumstance and is capped at $2,000.00 per request. The program can only support one(1) emergency financial request per household. Each applicant will be connected to a financial counselor for a thorough pre and post assistance counseling session.

Please note: All payments will be sent directly to the creditor AFTER the grant is approved by ISV staff. All applicants and requests will be fact-checked. The program will not assist with any court ordered child support needs. BEFORE applying, please read this page in its entirety.

Examples of What May be Funded:

• Utilities – gas, electric, water, cable, internet and phone service
• Mortgage or Rent
• Auto – Loans, leases, insurance or repairs
• Critical Needs – Food, baby supplies, etc
• Urgent Needs: Considered case by case
• Medical Bills: Considered case by case

What May be Required to Qualify:

• State issued Driver’s License or State ID
• DD214 or VA ID or Military ID or deployment orders
• Documentation of all household income
• VA military disability rating statement OR proof of VA disability claim submission
• Most recent bill/statement for the requested expense showing past due status (i.e. mortgage statement, lease agreement, repair estimate etc)
• The financial setback must be at least 30 days and no more than 60 days past due
• A referring agency and their contact information
• If you were not referred by an organization or agent and found ISV online, you will still need to find yourself a referring agent. For example, a Veteran nonprofit that you have worked with in the past, your social worker or doctor, or any other military aid organizations will be happy to serve as your referring agency. We cannot process your application without this information because we need to validate your identity and financial situation

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for this program, you must meet the following criteria:

• Must reside in the United States
• Current U.S. military service member
• Veteran of the U.S. military
• Caregiver for a Veteran of the U.S. military
• Surviving spouse of a U.S. military service member
• You must NOT be dishonorably discharged
